PAX - Program of Academic Exchange is a program of PAX Laurasian Exchange and is designated by the U.S. Department of State as a J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program sponsor.

Each year, a group of very impressive teenagers arrives in the U.S. from the Abaarso School of Science and Technology in Somaliland. The PAX Means Peace Scholarship program places Abaarso exchange students with host families across the U.S..

The Abaarso School has an international reputation for academic excellence. PAX Means Peace students bring an enthusiasm for learning and sharing their home culture with their host communities.
