November 2021, Vol XXVII, No. 2
With 24 full-length articles, this—the second issue of the program year—is among our densest in recent memory. As such, you may welcome a few tips on where to begin.
While South Knox striker Ibai (Spain) takes the cover thanks to a fabulous shot captured by photographer Rene LaMontagna, it has to be our "PAX's Got Talent!" contest submissions that really make the issue. Contest winner Alina's (FLEX, Kazakhstan) and runner-up Daniela's (Spain) videos of them rocking out on stringed instruments native to their home cultures are simply not to be missed.
Then in "The Adjustment Cycle" section, you'll want to check out Showme's (YES, Bangladesh) thoughtful piece on homesickness.
As usual, "On the Home Front" is the place to hear directly from host parents—in this case, host moms from Vermont, Minnesota, and Indiana respectively.
And finally, Lhagvasuren whets our appetite for International Education Week (IEW). Read how the Mongolian prepared for the annual celebration of international education and exchange worldwide with the help of her young Hoosier host siblings. Of course, we'll have a full IEW report for you next month.
Thanks to all those who submitted such inspiring articles, and remember that paxpress@pax.org is always collecting stories, anecdotes, photos, videos, and more!
