Spaniard Learns About U.S. Government
Exchange student from Spain in Washington, D.C.

A "Close Up" look

Hi! I’m Eva, a PAX exchange student from Spain. I’m living with an amazing family in Michigan. Yesterday I returned from one of the greatest trips I’ve ever taken in my life. I went to Washington, D.C. with 10 girls from my high school.

I made the trip with a program called Close Up through my host high school where you learn about the government. There were other kids from all over the country. I made a lot of friends from Nebraska and Minnesota. The trip was a week long and we stayed so busy!

We went to a lot of monuments, but I think my favorite one was the Lincoln Memorial. It was an amazing experience to learn about my host country during my visit to the city. It was totally worth it and I recommend every student go if they have the chance.

I’m so happy here, and it’s sad thinking that I’ll be leaving soon.
