Armenian feels that California Love

I am back with more stories from my incredible exchange year so far! My host family and I went on a spontaneous trip last week to Los Angeles, California. I got to see and take pictures near the Hollywood sign, walk on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and search for stars, enjoy the sunny weather by the Malibu beaches, and see sunsets at the Santa Monica Pier.

This was an unforgettable and exciting trip. I am forever grateful to PAX and my host family for the opportunity to experience life this way.

I’m filled with enthusiasm and positivity to continue exploring America and getting to know its people!

I’m also here to share another American food experience. During the trip, I tried clams and mussels, which I’m not a big fan of especially when I actually think of what I’m trying. But it was still fun to challenge myself with new things!

We also went whale watching and saw a bunch of dolphins that showed us a whole mind-blowing show by jumping out of the ocean synchronized and all together as a family!

One of the highlights of the trip was meeting people from L.A. and getting to know them and their culture. Also, we had the chance to be present for a proposal at the beach at sunset which was absolutely beautiful and made lots of people tear up. From the second we landed in California, everyone greeted us and was very hospitable which made us feel more excited for the upcoming adventures.

I’m filled with enthusiasm and positivity to continue exploring America and getting to know its people!
