Independence Day in Arizona

Pakistani style
It was 6th of August when I first arrived in the U.S. Being a Pakistani, celebrating every win is something that runs in our blood. Pakistan got its independence on August 14, 1947 because of our leaders and their superhuman efforts.
I was fortunate to arrive here in August, as I was able to spend Pakistan Independence Day with my host family.
My host sisters and I decorated the house with some small Pakistan flags, and I gifted them some Pakistani traditional clothes and accessories. To celebrate the occasion all day, I decided to make a dessert for my host family which represented the colors of the Pakistan flag, and then we drove from Sedona to Flagstaff.
To be able to celebrate Independence Day like this, my expectations of having the best year of my life here have touched the seventh sky.
