Hiking Mt. Rainier with PAX Family

Pakistani amazed at "PAX teamwork"
With our community coordinators and other PAX exchange students, we went hiking to Mount Rainier! I wasn’t good friends yet with the other exchange students, but this activity really strengthened the bond between us.
One thing that’s recurrent in all PAX events is teamwork. It actually amazes me how we put all our differences aside and now grow as branches of the same tree. It’s like a family. It is a family. I’m having the time of my life. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
My exchange year is bringing out the real me. The person I was always insecure about. Here my insecurities and anxiety honestly do not matter. I’m too busy making memories with some totally remarkable people and that’s the only thing that matters at the end of the day. I’m more than happy with what I have. I’m so grateful for everything. I just don’t want this to end.
“This is the golden age of something good and right and real.”
