PAX exchange student Noah (Germany) and his host brother Myles are being recognized all over Independence, Iowa for helping out. They spent the day out of school moving the offices of the police department. The Independence PD are moving their offices across town, and these two boys helped with the heavy lifting.

The department states, "Noah and Myles are two Independence High School students that volunteered through the Silver Chord program to help us on the first day of our move. They are hard workers, and after they finished, they went to soccer practice! This is our community; this is our future! Thanks again, guys." Others in the community added, "Some of the best" and "They sure are strong!" Noah has been an asset to the community of Independence and the Independence Community School District since arriving in August 2023. What a great way to impact the community before heading home! He will sure be missed!
