DECA Shaped My Exchange
Exchange student from Germany at the DECA International Career Development Conference

German's journey ends on global stage?

As an exchange student, my DECA* journey was a whirlwind of growth, challenges, and triumph. It began with a curiosity about business and a desire to challenge myself, but it ended with an unforgettable experience on the global stage, the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC).

DECA provided me with a platform to explore my passion for business and develop essential skills for the future. Through various competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities, I improved my leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, all while networking with like-minded peers.

My journey to the DECA ICDC was filled with dedication and hard work. As I navigated through regional and state-level competitions, each challenge presented an opportunity for growth and learning.

Finally, the moment arrived: the DECA ICDC. Stepping onto the international stage alongside thousands of students from around the world was both exhilarating and humbling. The air was filled with energy and excitement as we competed, collaborated, and celebrated our shared passion for business.

Participating in the DECA ICDC was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of determination, and achievement. It was a testament to the countless hours of preparation and the unwavering support of mentors, advisors, and fellow DECA members.

I am committed to bringing the spirit of DECA back to my home country of Germany.

Reflecting on my DECA journey, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities it gave me and the lessons it has taught me. Beyond the trophies and accolades, DECA has equipped me with the skills and confidence to pursue my dreams and make a positive impact in the world of business.

As I bid farewell to my exchange year, I carry with me cherished memories, valuable lessons, and lifelong friendships. However, I'm not planning on letting my DECA journey end with this. Inspired by my experiences, I am committed to bringing the spirit of DECA back to my home country of Germany.

With a vision of expanding DECA's reach and impact in Germany, I am determined to leverage my newfound knowledge and network to ignite a passion for entrepreneurship and leadership among students in Germany.
