"Courageous" Arman Meets the Governor

Ukrainian bonds with Vermont community
My exchange son Arman is the only student from Ukraine working with our coordinator, Kimberly Eckhardt.
Arman joined Springfield High School's wrestling program this past winter. Even though he only had one win he has encouraged his host brothers to give it a try. Arman has been volunteering at every practice and tournament cheering everyone on. He currently has over 40 hours logged with the school. He is working hard to get to 100 volunteer hours during his exchange year.
He has been a great role model for our community. Not only has he handled everything happening in Ukraine with grace and patience as we await answers; he has shown our town how courageous he is. The Springfield, Vermont community and surrounding areas have joined together to raise money that we will send to his family to help out. These funds will also help Arman in any way he needs.
This past week, he had the amazing opportunity to go to the Rotary Club luncheon and meet the governor. They talked about what is happening in Ukraine and how people can help.
