Adventure in Far North Queensland

Your group then travels north by air to Far North Queensland for the outdoor adventure portion of the trip. Spend a day snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef , visit the Daintree River and rain forest, stay in a Cairns resort hotel, ride a steam train to Kuranda, see crocodiles and aboriginal theatre, take nature walks with rangers. School Year in France

Language Adventure in FrancePAX offers a study/homestay program in France for a full school year, or first or second semester. France is distinguished by its many very different regions. The countryside, food, customs and even the weather change from region to region. Your host family may live near a small city or in the country side. As part of that family, you will come to know and love the particular "pocket" of France you live in.

In France, high school is called a lycee. At first, you will find school very different. Soon, you will adjust to the wide range of courses, to morning sessions only and to class on Saturday but not on Wednesday.

Crusty bread, fresh every morning, a political system parallel to ours, Roman ruins and medieval masterpieces, and the "bon vivant" life-style of the French, all will become familiar to you and part of your rich and varied experience in France.

You may find yourself in a rural family, with several children and many outdoor activities or placed in a busy city suburb with parents of grown children. Your family will be right for you.

You'll be a fully enrolled student in a "gymnasium" or German high school.
